Tesla has announced that it’s building an electric car that can accelerate from 0 to 60mph in under five seconds.
It has the same battery pack as its Model S sedan and is capable of a top speed of 200mph, with a range of more than 400 miles.
It’s called the Model 3, and it will debut at the International Auto Show next week.
The company is making the announcement as it continues to ramp up production of its Model 3 sedan, which it says will be the most powerful car ever built.
The company said in a statement that the new Model 3 is powered by an 80 kWh battery, which has a capacity of 1090Wh.
Tesla says the battery pack is the same size as the batteries used in the Model S and Model X cars, and the Model III is capable with up to 10 times more energy.
Tesla will be able to make more than 1,000 Model 3 cars per year, and says it will produce 500,000 vehicles per year.
Tesla will build its Model X SUV from scratch, which is a step up from its Model Y SUV, which was built using existing parts.
Tesla also said that it will begin shipping its Model III on May 5, 2020.
Tens of thousands of people have already signed up for the Model X, and Tesla expects to ship the first 300,000 in 2020.
That number is expected to grow, as Tesla expands its production to meet demand.
Model 3 is the most affordable car to date, and with the Model Y, Tesla can provide customers with more options for their transportation needs.
A few weeks ago, Tesla said it would start producing the Model 4 SUV, a smaller version of the Model 2.
The Model 3 has a price tag of $60,000 and is the best-selling car in the world.

Tesla said the Model IV will be made from the same components as the Model II, and will have an electric motor, battery pack and all-wheel drive.
Tesla plans to sell a total of 500,099 Model III and Model IV vehicles by the end of 2020, and is also working on its Model XI SUV.

Electric vehicles will become the norm in 2025Tesla announced it would invest $3 billion into a battery manufacturing plant in Nevada and another $5 billion into the Gigafactory, the largest battery factory in the U.S. to produce lithium ion batteries.
More than 1.4 billion battery cells were created in the battery factory, Tesla Chief Technology Officer JB Straubel told CNBC last month.
As part of the $3.4 trillion in investments, Tesla will begin manufacturing electric vehicles.
Tesla has said that by 2025, the company will produce up to 6 million electric vehicles per month.
Tesla estimates that it’ll produce up 10,000 electric vehicles in 2025.
In a statement on Tuesday, Tesla called the announcement a great milestone in Tesla’s long journey toward becoming the leader in battery technology.
“Tesla has been at the forefront of delivering innovative technology for the automotive industry, with an unparalleled track record of innovation in every aspect of battery technology,” Tesla said.
“We’re thrilled that we can share the Model 5, a truly groundbreaking vehicle, with the world at the end a breakthrough in battery production.”
Tesla said it will launch a website on May 11 to provide customers details on the Model 6.
Tesla wants to begin shipping Model 6 in 2020, but its customers will be notified after the first deliveries.
Tesla currently has only about 6,000 cars on its reservation system, and that number is likely to drop as it expands production.
Tesla’s production will be limited to about 10,600 vehicles per day, which should allow the company to meet its goal of selling more than 2 million Model X vehicles per week by 2021.
There will be another Model X in 2021, but Tesla has not announced a release date for the new car.
According to Bloomberg, the Tesla Model X will go on sale in 2020 and cost around $150,000.
Tesla previously said that the Model Z SUV, expected to go on public sale in 2021 at $155,000 to $160,000 will be priced at around $140,000 for a family of four.
