NHL trade deadline: The trade deadline of 2018 | SportsDay Detroit

With the deadline coming up next week, NHL trade rumors are getting more and more intense.

There’s been a lot of talk of a deal between the Flyers and the Columbus Blue Jackets, and even a potential blockbuster with the Montreal Canadiens.

The Flyers are reportedly willing to trade a first-round pick for a defenseman.

But it appears that that’s not all.

According to SportsDay, the Philadelphia Flyers are willing to move forward with a deal with the Columbus Blackhawk.

In a press release from the Blackhawk’s management group, owner/general manager Jason Fleury confirmed that the Flyers have contacted Blackhawk general manager John McNeill to discuss the possibility of a potential trade.

The deal could potentially include a second-round selection in 2018.

“Blackhawk GM John McNeil and our entire team are excited to welcome the Blackhawks to the Flyers organization,” Fleury said.

“We look forward to welcoming our new partner, Columbus Blue Wings, to our organization and the community of West Virginia.

Blackhawk President and General Manager Jeff MacLean confirmed that a deal was done.

McNeill has been a part of the Flyers’ front office since 2004.

He was a part-owner and part-coach of the team from 1999-2003.

The Blackhawk franchise currently plays in the American Hockey League, and has made a total of nine appearances in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

There’s also talk of another trade involving the Pittsburgh Penguins, who have been linked to the Black Hawks for some time.

The Penguins have been looking for a third-round draft pick in 2018 and the Black Hawk’s management is also open to trading for a player, though it seems unlikely that a trade would go down this year.

This is all speculation, but I think it could be a fun rumor to follow.

With the Flyers out of the playoff picture and the Penguins on the rise, I’d love to hear your thoughts on what would be a potential deal.

Do you think the Black-Hawks could be interested in the Flyers?

What do you think of McNeill and Fleury?

Can the Flyers be a good fit for Blackhawk GM McNeill?

Would you be interested to see another team win the Stanley War?
